About Me

John Jones, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana is an accomplished musician, producer, and arranger with an expansive musical background. Performing since the age of 12, John has established himself as a multi-instrumentalist experienced in various styles of music such as Gospel, Jazz, Latin, Funk and R&B. In 2001, John studied with world renowned clarinetist Alvin Batiste and later graduated from Southern University of Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree. He continued his graduate studies at the University of New Orleans - Ellis Marsalis Jazz Institute. John's professional career has afforded him to tour in Germany, Italy, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other locations, as well as perform with many musical greats. Currently he resides in Baton Rouge, LA where he serves as Director of Music at Mount Zion First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rene' Brown. As Proverbs 18:16 states, "A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men." John is the devoted husband of LeAnn and energetic father of Joshua and Janae.
